Dr. ABHILASH BANSAL works as Senior Consultant Neurosurgeon and Spine Surgeon at APOLLO HOSPITALS, BANGALORE, KARNATAKA, INDIA.
He completed his MBBS from the Government Medical College, Amritsar, Punjab.
He has a Diplomate of National Board in Neurosurgery (Direct 5-year course).
He has wide experience working in various fields of Neurosurgery like Brain Trauma, Spine Trauma, Pediatric Neurosurgery, Brain and Spine Tumors and Surgeries for Back Pain etc. He has also experience in Stem Cell Therapy in various Neurological conditions.
At the Wockhardt Hospital, Bhavnagar, he played an integral role in establishing the Department of Neurosurgery. He has also worked in many prominent hospitals like Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, Manipal Hospital, Bangalore, BGS Global Hospitals, Bangalore.
Dr. Abhilash has undergone training in Neurosurgery at prominent centres. His papers touch upon significant topics like ‘Unilateral Autologous Bone-Marrow-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cell Transplantation in Parkinson’s Disease’ and ‘Expanded Autologous Bone Marrow-Derived Mesenchymal Stromal Cells in Human Spinal Cord Injury’. He has presented his papers both at the national as well as the international level.

He is also adept at handling Microdialysis of the Brain; which is a relatively novel process in medicine. He is a member of various Associations like the AO Spine International.
